Harassment and Discrimination Prevention
Sierra HR's harassment and discrimination prevention training is presented in a fun and interactive forum. The employee workshop provides examples of what unlawful harassment is... and what it is not. Your organization's harassment policy and reporting procedures can be folded into the course materials to customize the program for your company.

In addition, the supervisory workshop includes all components to satisfy the requirements of AB 1825, requiring all employers with 50 or more employees to provide two hours of interactive sexual harassment training to all supervisors. Employees and supervisors will leave with a clear understanding of their responsibilities in preventing and responding to harassment in the workplace.

Conducting Behavioral Interviews
With the cost of turnover estimated at 35 percent of an employee’s annual salary, it’s important to hire right the first time. This workshop provides hands-on practice preparing for and delivering interviews that draw out behavioral examples of past performance, rather than relying on a “gut feeling”. In addition, the program focuses on what’s legal… and what’s not -- to prevent legal missteps.

Establishing Performance Standards
Achieving the results you need from employees in both quality and productivity depends largely on how clearly those expectations are defined and how consistently you hold employees accountable for meeting them. From orienting a new employee, to delegating an assignment or adding new responsibilities, these skills will help avoid costly misunderstandings and ensure that the highest standards and priorities are met.

Conducting Performance Evaluation
When done properly, a performance appraisal is a valuable tool for both the employer and the employee in increasing productivity and achieving business goals. This workshop focuses on what sets the TONE for conducting effective performance evaluations, reviews sample forms and rating systems, and provides hands-on practice preparing and delivering an evaluation.

Giving Constructive Feedback
Managers often miss the opportunity to provide corrective feedback because they are afraid of their employees' reactions. This session helps supervisors formulate and deliver honest feedback to support effective behavior and guide an employee back on track toward success.

Building a Unified Team
This interactive workshop helps team members work together to meet established SMART goals and repair relationships or work conflicts that block productivity on the job. Rather than “hope and hint” or “confront and crush”, the key actions encourage a joint problem-solving approach.

Taking Corrective Action
When coaching and training are not enough to improve unacceptable performance, it is necessary to take formal corrective action. This workshop provides modeling and practice on how to effectively take corrective measures and document steps taken to create a win-win.
